The Federal Government has recently announced an extension to the Apprenticeship Kickstart in an aim to increase opportunities for young people to transition from school to trade training, improving their chances of engaging with long term employment.

The Australian Government will provide a $3,350 Apprentice Kickstart Bonus to employers who take on a young person aged 19 years and under, into a traditional trade Australian Apprenticeship.

CTC will pass on this incentive to hosts who commence an eligible first year apprentice

The Apprentice Kickstart Bonus payments will be passed on to eligible hosts in three instalments:

• $,  850.00 at the three month point
• $1,250.00 at the nine month point
• $1,250.00 at the fifteen month point

Total    $3,350.00

To receive the Bonus payments, the apprentice will need to remain hosted with the original host employer.
